Impact on Woman
The Westward expansion was just the beginning of womens idependence. Many women believed that the westward expansion was a new beginning of their lives to restart and recreate their identities. Many Women tried to break the basic house wife stereotype ( and you'd think by then they'd just give women their rights already!) and discover a new sense of themselves n their frontier surroundings. But there was a fear of not being able to perform house wife duties after the Oregon Trail, and if they weren't able to perform those taks the ir husbands would've left them and people usually didn't give women job, and if they got jobs they weren''t paid as much as men were.
